Got a Brinks 4046TSW on the way! PICS UP!

Hi friends. Thanks to all those who have been picking up the Brinks guns for a while, I got the bug and finally bought one. I'll post pics as soon as it arrives. I found a recoil spring (not MAIN spring), but still searching for 2 10 round mag spings.
Question: Anyone have an idea how much Trijicon charges for replacing the night sights if I just return the slide?

I replaced the springs in my Model 4046 (Brinks) as well as the magazines with Wolff Springs as the OEM springs were difficult to come by. No problems, but to be fair I only have about 150 rounds down-range.

If your sights bear the Trijicon markings, you can send them back to Trijicon and have them re-lamped for $57.00. Please note, this is not having the entire front and rear sights replaced. Trijicon is great to deal with. Excellent QA/QC.

Wolff also has Mag Springs but as I recall they are either +5% or +10%. Personally I would not go + Anything on Mag Springs as it is already very difficult to get last round in with stock S&W Mag Springs

When I got my Brinks 4046TSW, the sights still had life left in them so I haven't bothered to have them re-lamped yet. The pistol I got had a some noticeable holster wear but not a lot of wear from shooting - but it was pretty filthy! New springs, new Hogue grips and a lot of elbow grease and it ended up looking and shooting great. It is now my dedicated truck gun and currently the only .40 caliber I own.

Holy moly, that's a nice one, Jon!!!! I hope mine will clean-up as nice as yours. I went to all 9mm a few years ago, but now I'm thinking a larger bore may help a bit, so plan to use it as a house gun. Thanks!!!!

If you are in an area not restricted to 10 rd why not just grab some standard 11 rd mags.
But be aware getting the 11th rd into a standard 11 rd mag with S&W springs takes a lot of work to get it in and can be rough on thumbs. Going Wolff increases that force by 5 or 10% so i stay with S&W springs for my 11 rd mags. Personally i would stay with the S&W 10 rd springs for the 10 rd mags.

Thank you, Ed. I just sent the slide to Trijicon, so won't be able to test the Wolff mag springs, which I'm guessing are for 11 round mags. My mags are 10 round for sure and had those funky early squirrely springs. If these don't work, I'll see if I can still get a set of the funkies.
I just loaded 10 and everything seems to be just fine. The tension was tight but not too tight. I'll have to wait until the slide returns to test function.

I went ahead and bought a couple 11rd. mags, Ed, thank you! I put the new Wolffs springs in the 11rd mags and put the 10rd. back to stock condition. I'll probably sell one of them.

Still don't have the slide back from Trijicon but paid them a week ago. I hope to see it soon.

The Brinks 4046 should have been issued with the 11 round magazines. If a state limit was 10 rounds, that's what they got. Brinks had gotten stingy with their use. A few years ago employees were not allowed to take their guns out for practice. Only for requals. That was after autos were issued nationwide.
