Do you have to go thru any sort of background check to buy that?

My lgs has had powder recently, with a pretty good selection. Even some 4# jugs of Titegroup. I even saw some 8# jugs of the titegroup at a bigger shop a couple weeks back. I load just a pit everything with TG, so it's a win for sure!

Paid right at four fiddy for a full sleeve of federal spmp delivered, hazmat included a couple days ago, I shoulda bought 2 cases.

I hope it things go down more, I'm just not feeling it. Going to do a show this weekend. I'll try and make a report.

Regards, Rick Gibbs

I can find powder easily enough, but primers still elude me.

Yes I can find them online, but the shipping and Hazmat fee is a deal breaker for me. If the prices were lower with a higher quantity allowed per order it might make sense.

Thought about getting a fishing license instead.....but it's darn near winter. Guess I'll score some knitting needles.

I'm sure hoping $40/lb isn't the new reality. I was so used to paying no more than $22 I'm thinking $30-$32 would be acceptable but $40, not going to make me happy!

A couple days ago I ordered 4-Lbs of N320 @ 45 and change and 2 bricks of Servicios SPP. I've never used those primers before but seem to have acceptable reviews. I'm guessing mid 30 range for powder may become the new normal for the next couple years.

I am flush with BE but I would have bought the Unique at that price. If it goes down to $35/lb in the future I would be surprised.

I did find some TightWad powder (shotgun) for $28 p/lb at my LGS. Seems to load o.k., book shows a #27 Mec bushing same as I used for the Accurate Nitro 100 NF I used for my 1 oz. loads. Shot a round of trap Thurs and it shot just fine. Still no primers locally.

It's going to be a very long time before I need a handgun on the fast side. I still have 10.5lbs of W231 on hand. Like I've said before, I'm lucky to have several properties in the family so I can spread it over several locations to comply with the local fire codes.

Is this like having a car full of gas but, no spark plugs. Sure wish they had primers like that.

powder

I've been seeing powder at local gunshows as low as $30 a pound. I've also seen powder in cans that are so old the cockroaches have eaten most the label off. Some stuff is coming out of the woodwork that hasn't seen the light of day since Hector was a pup.

Not seen Bullseye or Unique since the election of 2020. I would pay $40 for a pound if it was ever out there. I saw a pound of 4895 rifle powder at a local show. He had it tagged for $45 but agreed to sell it for $40. With Bullseye conceivably you could load 3,500 rounds of 32S&W long with one pound of Bullseye at 2 grains a load. Rationalizing a bit but ...
