I just bought 5 cans of gevalia at the discount store the other day for a buck each. I had to stop at Goodwill and find a small coffee maker cause I couldn't find mine. Found one of those 4 cup drip things NIB for 5 bucks. Still have that Keurig pod thing..my wife found a bunch of tea pods she liked for cheap at the discount store so she's happy. nd when it comrd to beef I have a whole bunch of slow elk around the house. Think the next door rancher would miss one?

Coffee, tea and beer prices are remaining consistent here abouts.
If I eventually had to ration tea and coffee so be it.

If you have a Keurig, you can get a reusable pod/cup and put your own grounds in it.

I've got a couple of those reuseable pod things. Used 'em a few times in the past...Not even close to the same as brewed and not even close to the pods I've bought. they must use really finely ground coffe in them. So now I have 6 pounds of coffee I can drink up. Will take a while. I will usually drink one mug in the morning...but with that 4 cup brewer I'll have 2 mugs. The next door rancher came and drove his herd of slow, black elk back to his pasture. And I had one all picked out. Was getting ready to shoot him with a paintball to mark him for feeding. Maybe he fixed his fence so they stay over there. Darn it!

My Wife and I are serious morning coffee drinkers! After being married for 43 + year we have come to pick Eight O'clock Columbian Peaks as our #1 choice. We were paying about $11 for a 33 ounce bag of ground and when I went to reorder a few days ago I discovered that the $11 price is now $34 for the same 33 ounce bag!!
I did an hour long search and after extensively looking, I was able to get a slightly better price - but what the hell??!!TRIPLE in a few weeks?? I actually bought 8 bags a few minutes ago directly from the manufacturer for less than on Amazon - now that's a surprise!
Yes, there are many other good coffees, many sold at discount prices in Costco, BJ's, etc. but again, this is OUR long time Fav. I would imagine judging by the tripling of the price, many others feel the same way.
NOTE: Kirkland ground coffee is very good too however we use a 12 cup Presto electric percolator 95% of the time and a stove top the other 5% and find that the Kirkland brand (while excellent) is ground too fine and gets through the filter. The 8 o'clock grind is perfect for our method and we do love it.
Yea, we could buy a coffee grinder and custom grind our own Kirkand beans but I don't need another chore in the morning. A guess it's just another sign of the times we now live in.

Eight O'Clock currently sells 30oz bags direct for $18.99 if you buy 4 and that includes shipping. It's still a hefty increase, but it's less than 2X your previous price.
Transportation costs and employee shortages are the new normal and are driving inflation. I'm paying $2/head for iceberg lettuce and the heads are much smaller than they were a year or 2 ago when it was $0.99/head. My local Krogers has trouble keeping it stocked. Their butter is now $4.99/lb. They do run it on sale for $3.75/lb, but it wasn't that long ago I was paying $1.99.
About the only thing going down is the value of our retirement accounts.
Up until recently, I had been paying $10.49 / 33 ounce bag from Walmart on line (31.7 cents / oz.) That same bag is now $34.00 ($1.06 cents / oz) or triple on the Walmart or Amazon sites.
I did find the direct eight o'clock purchase website and did order from them. Their price is $19.00 for only 30 ounces which comes to .63 cents an ounce or exactly double / oz. When I posted this, I was looking on Amazon & Walmart (where I normally purchased from), and their price is now triple. But double or triple - this all happened in a few weeks.

I never could warm up to Keurig pod coffee machines. I guess it's ok for the office or a waiting room but does not work for us at breakfast time. We like a rich, full bodied cup of java and to us the pods just don't cut it.
Dang, triple the price is crazy. When I saw the price of my orange flavored Metamucil had doubled, I about ****.

Perhaps it's just me, but regardless of what brand pods I use, the coffee just doesn't taste right. I ended up going back to my
Mr Coffee and doing it the hard way.
Black Rifle Coffee was too expensive before inflation, at least where I live. At 2x the price, there're other good options.

I agree. I drink cold brew coffee. I make it up a couple nights a week. No special equipment except something to strain the grounds.

Good or bad, I have always been a "If I wanted it, I'd buy it" person, only casually looking at grocery prices. Lately I have started to look at pricing and become a miserable, miserly curmudgeon. I am stunned at the pricing of staples at all of our local grocery stores. I truly don't know how some folks are getting by.

Might want to check to see if those packages still contain the same amount of product. Hidden inflation is just as annoying.

I have quit drinking milk, beer, and coffee. I now miss none of them. The cure for inflation is higher prices.
