British Ammo

I have a box of British,100 rim fire .22 Mark 1 non-rusting ammo.
I also have a box of British, 100 rim fire .22 Mark 2 that according to my research is used for discrete assassinations.
I found that interesting. I wonder what make them so special?
They are in a sealed box thank goodness.

My GUESS is that the Mark 2 is subsonic. Other than that no idea.
