Norma has SPP $62

I just checked, they are $69 plus sales tax and free shipping if you buy 3 boxes or more.
My cost for 3 boxes would be $219.42 for the 3K. (Don't need them, just checking prices)

I was able to order at $62 per 1k. $201 for 3k at my tax rate.

Thanks for the heads up.

2/4/23: Update. Ordered 2/1, arrived today. Have not used them yet, but they are gold colored so it will be easy to tell at a glance what primer is loaded.

IMO, I think we are starting to see the beginning of the price drops. I am seeing pallets of ammo everywhere and in most calibers. Best price recently was a local gun store selling 9MM for 239 a case with no limits.

They have had primers in stock for quite a while, but at the 90 - 120 dollar mark.

Hope I am right.

Hi all, I ordered 3k on the 31st and just got them today, looking forward to trying them out. Mine was it'd @ 198$
Semper paratus

Got my order yesterday and had a chance to test some primed cases in several different pistols. Looks like they're about 99% reliable in a hard hitting hammered fired gun, but very hit/miss with strikers. Had to strike some as many as four times to get them to go off. Some would never go off regardless of the number of strikes. Odd thing was that the dimples on most of the light strikes appeared normal. These same strikes would have easily lit any other primers, including CCI. Looking at them closely, the anvil position seems to be the issue. I have all the parts for an AR9 on the way and will probably use these primers for those reloads only, then won't be buying any more. Not worth the savings.

Thanks for the follow-up. You certainly made up MY mind.

Funflyer, that's interesting. Gone through around 300 with no problems. Just so you know, these were all for my 686PC 4" 38SP 158G LSWC and 148G LWC. I do have a Uberti SA that's next up for the test...hoping for the best now:D

I got a chance to try out the Argentinian SPPs this last week. Loaded in 9mm and 38sp. No issues loading, and while I only shot the 9mm, they all ignited with no issues. Once winter fades I'll run them over the chrono and compare them to other brands. I'd definitely buy more at the old price ;-).

Those that I ordered showed up promptly. I've loaded for many years on a Dillon 550 so am familiar with what it takes for solidly bottoming primers in their pocket. For me I get 100% 1st blow fires from a 1911 with a steel firing pin as well as a box-stock Glock. A few first blow FTF's in a tuned Glock. Lots of FTF's in S&W revolvers tuned for 100% function with Federals.

I'm going to happily use mine up and will mark each loaded lot with what they WILL run in.
