I dropped in one of my favorite LGS yesterday and noticed they had a LARGE pile of CCI primers in stock. $100 a brick to $120 a brick, depending on size. I don't need any so I didn't bite, not at that price, but they are clearly coming back in stock.

Step 1 primers in stock
Step 2 primers not selling at that price
Step 3 primer price drops

still working on step 1 becoming the norm everywhere. But surely better than Step 0, which is none anywhere, except in highly priced, scarce, loaded ammo.

FYI, that new primer plant in Texas is producing primers. Currently OEM suppliers to small to medium capacity ammo manufacturers.

As the reloading component supply chain fills, prices will come down. Not down to pre-2020 levels, we have this thing called inflation going on, but $100/1k for small pistol primers is gravitating down to $80 and likely going to go down a bit more. Unless high inflation continues, which in that case, $100/1k will seem to be a bargain.

I just paid $90 a box for LP and SPM primers. Only folded because I was damn near out of both. I won't do it again. That's the first time I've seen LP on the shelf anywhere around my parts for like year and a half.

It kills me when I pick up my old primer boxes marked $24 and even $18.

I'm hoping they at least come back to $60, maybe $50 on sale ?

Where in the Republik did you happen to find them? I located some small pistol Servicios Aventuras (Argentina made) along the Calif. Delta yesterday for $10/100.

A few days ago I stopped at a very small gun shop by my house and he had Winchester pistol primers for $75.00 per thousand. According to the owner he can get all he wants and said he has no limit on what customers can buy .
