My Ship Came In - Again!

Take you share and invest in Florida swampland, which I just happen to have available at a great discount for forum Mods.

email to support from Polyakov Hryhoriy <[email protected]>

I'm just amazed that ANYONE could fall for this BS- an unsolicited email from someone that doesn't even know my name offering me 50,000,000 Euros. Could it be phony?:rolleyes::rolleyes:

I'd be greedy and take the whole 500 mil.

Seriously though, you are right. All of the spam/phising e-mails I get are all address "Dear (e-mail account name)". Even the ones claiming my overseas parcel delivery is in transit but needs a new delivery fee. You would think that if they have my parcel, addressed to me, that they would at least know my name.

But he best ones are the "hello darling" e-mails from the really hot looking (and scarily dressed) young ladies. Every time I see these I immediately imagine an old, balding, overweight asian man sitting at his computer in his underwear smoking while he types.

"Polyakov Hryhoriy"

Polyakov was a Soviet character in "Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy".

Hryhoriy sounds Albanian.

I had a boss so greedy that he fell for one of the Nigerian letters back in the day. His wife had to ransom him back when he went to pick up "his money". Then they tried to empty his bank account, but his wife beat them to it.

I dunno, sounds pretty legit to me. When in doubt dive in head first. What's the worst that could happen?
