I had a good friend that passed. His interests and mine were pretty much the same and he had been collecting for over 40 years. I could search gun shows for 20 years and not find this many desirable and collectible S&Ws. I'll miss my friend but I appreciate his family for allowing me to enjoy these treasures that he loves and appreciated for so many years.

...and you would probably trade all of them away to have him back... Have been in the same boat...not much fun...

About 20 years ago a large local shop suddenly had multiples of mainly S&W revolvers and Winchester Commemorative 1894s... Story was that one of their customers came in with all of them. He also had a life time shooting buddy who passed away and one day he got a call from the man's relatives stating that his friend had left all his guns/ammo to him...

He told them he would bring his pickup over shortly and get them...to be told...bring a TRUCK... Seems his friend had been collecting and had a basement full of guns....several HUNDRED...most NIB. The seller had never been in his friend's basement in all those years. There was also three pallets of ammo...

That's funny! Maybe I should have gone to school and gotten an actual PHD instead of being a cop so I could better afford this stuff!

My condolences to all, and I feel sure your friend is smiling down on that sight today and from now on...I have a similar arrangement with an old friend here...After expressing my wishes to my remaining family and my old buddy, all were in unanimous agreement to this change in my will after I was released from the hospital after my Covid stay......Ben
