Colt Python. There are only 2 3 inch S&W revolvers that trip my trigger, and I own both. A Model 66-4 and a Model 696.

I will soon have a 3 inch Python.

I have 3 model 36s. All are 2”.
I always like the looks of the 3”, but never got around to getting one.
So my choice would be a 3” model 36 no dash square butt with a factory action job walnut magnas with a Tyler T grip. Either blue or nickel is ok. Also some old school leather to carry it around.

I’d have to vote the 3” King Cobra for concealed carry. My second choice is my 3” Python but it’s a little big and heavy for concealed carry.

I know this thread is about 3" guns, but I have to admit I've also wanted 2.5" revolver. I think Smith still offers the 686 with the 2.5", but the new 66 has 2.75" barrel. I wish they would bring back the 2.5".

The new Colt King Cobra - which seems to be old Magnum Carry model - looks great with a 3". It might be the best 3" sixgun around right now, although the 3" Python is getting all the attention. I'd like to see Colt bring out a new Python in 2.5", like the old ones were.

Own at least a dozen three inch guns. Three K frames, a J, three Charters, a Manurhin, King Cobra, Python, Cobra, SP101, GP100, Speed Six, couple Taurus. Probably forgetting one or two. The Colts are sweet, I carry the KC on occasion. The GP100 is a Wiley Clapp; the best revolver Ruger ever made, one of the best ever made by anyone.

3" K frame .357. I'd like to find a 3" J frame pre-lock in .357, but the 640-1 is just fine for carry. Just for fun, check out my 3.25" .44 Military transitional.
