$200,000 Escalade

I do some driving for the local GMC dealer. When I went in this morning, they had one of the new Escalade V's. The window sticker was $161,000. In addition, the dealer was going to mark it up an additional $35,000. There are reports Chicago dealers are marking them up $100,000!!

A very nice vehicle, but I don't care for black vehicles and the price seems a bit high.

Is the one in the dealership the Diesel or Gas?

I'd go for the Diesel version, assuming it has enough grunt to get it going.
I"m going to put another $10 into the local Lottery this week, if I win I'll call you to see if it's still available (assuming it's a diesel)..

Neat car, I've not bought a GM automobile in 40 years, but that one looks to be pretty cool, at least from the sticker price aspect.....

The price tag is outrageous when you can get a 650HP supercharged Escalade ESV from Hennessey Performance for less.

Hopefully it also has an upgraded suspension and brakes to match. But that might make it kind of useless as a truck...

Maybe I can get a supercharger for my Tahoe?

Really can't see myself checking cattle with that. It would be nice to throw a newborn calf in the back to warm up on those cold February nights though.

Most of the snowflakes, et al. I see driving Escalades probably couldn't get it off the show room floor if it had a manual transmission, antitheft device. Regardless, that's way too much for that machine. When I drop that kind of coin on a ride, the owner's manual will be written in German.
