2nd model .44 special

I saw that one, and thought it would sell for higher!
Looks to have an older refinish since cylinder is more plumb in color than the rest of the gun. I thought it looked like a black magic finish, like the Victory models, or cerakote.
I like it! Congrats to you!

The frame looks Parkerized. The cylinder kinda' looks Parkerized too - but it does have a bit of that "plum" color to it in the photo.
Is it possible to apply Parkerizing directly over a blued finish without stripping it down to bare metal first? If that is even possible, that is what one with a slight plum color to the cylinder would look like after being Parkerized...

Have it in hand

Surprised that the lettering is much sharper than the GB photo looked. Screw holes not dished, side plate perfect, screws not buggered at all.
Smooth action.

Grips number to the gun, too

Happy happy

Compare the logo in my first post to what it really looks like

Looked murky on GB photo

No.
The parkerized finish is probably not very old. It probably had finish loss and/or some rust and somebody refinished it, possibly on the kitchen table. I have never done any parkerizing, but I have known people who did. Not difficult and takes no special equipment.

There is a letter shown in the auction. Didn't you get it? If you did, try the SWHF.....

You are right! I forgot the letter was in the ad. Might have to double check the shipping box.

Duh!

Yeah, kind of figured it was a home brew.

Thanks.
