yes my hair is turning grey but that's not what this is about.
The Wife and I attended a car show this weekend, lots of nice cars and trucks to look at.
A guy with a older wagon that had I six in it, when a few of us were looking at it the owner said "believe me it doesn't sound like a six banger, let me start it. He jumped up from his chair and walked to the car to start it. He was open carrying a glock in a good holster. Some I am sure didn't notice but I am sure many did.
I thought to myself "Everyone knows he is armed and none of them know I am"
I love being the grey man..

That's the ticket right there. I'm convinced it's the unknown if a person is armed or not that might make a difference in some situations. Just my 2 cents

Had the same thing happen in a cigar lounge in Vegas (a nifty Wilson 9mm) a couple weeks ago and in a coffee shop just up the road (a Shield) last weekend. I'm always happy to see others carrying (if not always happy to see how they choose to carry), but my preference has always been (since the mid-Eighties when I started) for no one to be able to tell that I'm doing it.

Again, for me, it's one of those "It depends" scenarios. When I'm in town, I carry concealed. On the other hand, when I'm in the back country with the pack string, do I open carry? You bet your bobsled I do...and I hope to heck everybody I pass on the trail notices it, too.

I hate to say this, but there are more and more crazies enjoying the back country than ever before and I would like them to be aware that they need to go find some other target for their shenanigans.

If you don't want to open carry ... that's fine .
But don't stand in the way or preach against why I shouldn't have the right to open carry if I want to .

Seems like open carry scares a lot of people and if it's something they don't want to do ... then nobody should do it .
I everyone should have the Right to open carry ... if they so choose.

I don't rock climb because I think it's dangerous ... but I don't campaign against rock climbing or try and talk people out of doing it ...

Lets leave the right to open carry alone ... it's a personal decision .
