Model 64-5, Good find?

Swore off buying any more guns, been two years since my last one, but thought last night,
"I can just look at Cherry's website, what can it hurt?"
Well, I was there 1st thing this morning,
and it did not hurt my wallet that bad.
They had got in a TON of S&W's from a long time collector, I have way too many safe queens, so I avoided all them, but I could not past up this jewel
64-5 4"
factory RB,
wide smooth combat trigger,
DAO 8.9lb trigger,
slight melt,
XS front night sight, combat fixed rear.
tight as a tick.
Someone built this as a fighting revolver.
Came with a very strange "Lefty Lewis" custom holster molded to the gun
400 clams OTD
I am very happy I fell off the wagon

I think you did well. I had a 310 Night Guard with the XS sights and I really liked it. Interesting DAO revolver.

I always check their stock……..so do alot of others.

They were going to make 1000, they only did about 80.
the issue is, even though it is a 5 shot, the cyl walls are thinner than David Hoggs arms.
It can handle a standard 44 spc rd, but a few people hot rodded um, and they grenaded big time.

Two excellent revolves for sure, but that Ruger is way over the top. I've had a few interesting Rugers over the years but nothing like that.

I looked at the Cherrys website. They have some other nice ones at prices not too bad including a NY-1

Who is "Cherry's"?

"Cherrys" fine guns has been a staple in NC for a long time.
They use to have a great showroom, but 15 or so years ago, moved and went to mostly online.
They are best known for being the premier place for Colts over the years
and one of the guys that use to work there, "wrote the book" (well, more than one)on Pythons
They ship worldwide, and have gotten more of my money than I would care to count.
For some strange reason, Greensboro is a hub for custom and off the wall guns

last week, they had 5 or 6 of those listed, of the "lot" they got , they have sold 1/2 already at least

Problem with Cherrys is now everyone now knows them, so you need to be quick once they post goodies for sale.
