I was thinking of selling one or two of my model 58's, so I got them out for a cleaning and snapped a couple of family photos. I have probably sold about 4 other model 58's I have had over the years, but these are the most I have had at one time. Clockwise from top right, an S prefix, an N prefix, Round Butt N prefix, 58-1 w/lock, and a Nickel N prefix. I added the PC grips to the new 58-1 because I like the way they look over the newer grips it came with.

Sweet collection! The 58 is my favorite handgun even though the SAPD marked example continues to elude me.

Educate me please on the round butt?

Unfortunately, I don't know much about it as I bought the way you see it. I always wanted a round butt 3" barreled model 58, and this one is halfway there. I still may shorten the barrel one day. Someone did a pretty good job by removing metal from the front and back side of the grip frame. The serial number is of course completely intact. The grips fit tight and came with the gun, and I am sure they were fitted some to it.

So, that's where they all went ! :D Took me a while to find a nice one, finally lucked into an ANIB S prefix that had been a safe queen since it was new.

Wow, you’re sure Model 58 rich! I feel fortunate to have my one. Just something about them to me……
