We all have movies we have watched over and over again through the years. This is my list of movies I know I have watched at least 15 to over 50 times in what order is my best guess. For me they are always like a visit with an old and cherished friend. They are like comfort food mom used to fix, or a comfy chair by the fire after shoveling snow. "War of the Worlds" is my all time favorite movie. My dad took me to see it when I was 7 years old in 1953. Every time I watch it (over 50) I can reach back in time and connect with my little boy self. I am sitting next to my dad being thrilled, amazed, and scared ! Many times when I have begun to watch it for the umpteenth time, I will softly say .... "Hi Pop". "The Pink Panther" was my best EVER first date :). "Dr. Zhivago" was when I learned the answer to this question asked by my steady girl..... "Do you think YOU could love two women at the same time ?" is definitely NOT ..... "Sure" :(.  I do love Dr. Zhivago anyway, even if I do shudder at the memory of THAT young dumb answer and the nuclear detonation that followed it !

  1. War of the Worlds (1953)
  2. Forbidden Planet (1956)
  3. The Thing From Another World (1951)
  4. King Kong (1933)
  5. Gone With the Wind (1939)
  6. She Wore a Yellow Ribbon (1949)
  7. The Wizard of Oz (1939)
  8. They Were Expendable (1945)
  9. The Pink Panther (1964)
10. Dr. Zhivago (1965)

3. House of 1000 Corpses
4. Space Balls
5. Let Them Die Slowly
6. Southern Comfort
7. Most of Clint Eastwood's spaghetti Westerns

Not necessarily in that order

"Quigley Down Under"
I can't remember anyone's name after I meet them and not sure of mine sometimes but I can tell you what the next line is all the way through the movie. My favorite line " I said I never had much use for one. Never said I didn't know how to use it."

Most of Clint Eastwood's and Audie Murphy's too

Fifteen seems like a lot, especially if we're talking in their entirety.
I'm guessing I've hit that number on:

Godfather

Scarface, for sure.
Pulp Fiction
Caddyshack
Christmas Vacation- every year
The Unforgiven

At least 7-10:

Godfather II
Goodfellas
Star Wars- original one
Oh, Brother where art thou?
Shawshank Redemption
Red Dawn

I'm guessing about 30 more are going to hit me shortly.

My list would be pretty extensive and some have already been mentioned here , but one in particular I'll stop what I'm doing and watch EVERY time that it comes on is , Every which way but loose. I just get a kick out of that movie .
