The fuse is lit

My wife was tied up in meetings and I walked 3/4 mile to the hospital with one of mine. I did have a bag with a change of clothes but was pretty empty by then.

I was prescribed “Sutab” as the prep for my last procedure.

Six tablets with water and another 6 some hours later. Most “pleasant” of the preps that I’ve used. Luckily, I’m on 10-year cycles.

That's the way to go. Had that the first time. Last time they said "Your insurance won't cover that now" and gave me the lemonade swill . . . thankfully should be almost ten years until they want me back if I live to need another . . .

I have had colon cancer, twice, so I'm well known at the bore scope shop.
Never had the cherry stuff. Had lots of powder mixed with Gatorade in a gallon jug the powder comes in sent by the VA. I call it "antifreeze" cause that's what it looks like, but antifreeze tastes better.

Had a kit years ago a doctor gave me. Small cardboard box, but I forget the details. It was the best, easiest prep I had up until that time.
Last time, I used a Dr. in community care through the VA. The VA sent me same old gallon jug. The Dr. liked a prep called Sutab <click. The VA wouldn't cover it. I paid $60 for it. Well spent! I heartily recommend it. ;)

Well the results are in. I am a perfect alpha hotel-but then again you guys knew that. And the prep is wearing off. The Suprep is a lot better than the old stuff. Works quick and fast-like about 15 minutes  Got some deer sausage thawing out and intend to throw it and a couple of teal I shot yesterday morning on the pit tonight.
Serious thought-this is absolutely the very best thing you can do for yourself-it is the gold standard for testing for colon cancer. The procedure is a snap-it's the prep that is a bear. DO IT!! If not for yourself for your loved ones.

In addition to the above commercial, those of you in the 50+ area would do well to find yourself a good urologist. Prostate cancer doesn't always stay in the prostate.

For future reference, that nasty drain cleaner stuff, regardless of "flavor" is much easier to tolerate if you drink it through a straw. My doctor advised it, and it works. I didn't notice the taste as bad, and it went down much quicker.

While I'm not quite 50, my primary suggested that I start cancer screenings early, mainly because,I don't know what my family history is because I'm adopted. After seeing what happens when folks wait/ignore problems until things get bad to the point where they see a doc, I'm cool with it. I'm healthy, active, at my ideal weight, and most importantly, not on any meds, but, what's the saying, "An ounce of prevention..."

Anyway, I got the cologuard boxed set. I got emails, text messages, reminding me to get it done. That's a test that's looking for traces of blood, if they find any, more tests. Well straining, or bloody plies, to mention a couple, will give false positives. Obviously, traces of blood where it's not supposed to be, never a good thing. Long story short, nothing turned up on mine.

I had my last one in March. Once you hit 75 they don't schedule you for any more. I won't miss that prep one bit.

16 oz of a Vile tasting cherry flavored liquid followed by 32 oz water within the hour.
Repeat at 11:00.
Wife has been instructed to keep bathroom clear.
Got new American Rifleman and new DU magazine in position.
Think I'm ready

Be glad you got the 2 x 48-oz variety. You could have been given the gallon and a half version of the prep. The 3 quart version is much easier to swallow...

Been there, done that.
I don’t think anyone is ever ready, for what is about to happen to them.:)
