Just received these shortly ago, outstanding work by Bigmtnman! They've found their homes on my 57 no-dash and 19-3.

Looking at the picture reminds me I need to hit that 57 with some blue Wenol. :)

Ken's a great guy to work with and his workmanship speaks for itself! :)

Those are beautiful -- and I am deeply sorry to display my ignorance, but what is the material and who was the maker and how does one contact him. Not sure I'm ready for such awesome stocks (still collecting the guns themselves) but definitely want to learn of the options out there.
I'm new to the forum and have found that often posters are assuming we all know these great contacts (Ken, etc.) and I for one don't---so again, my sincere apologies for my ignorance.

I will need to keep an eye out for a set…

Ken goes by bigmtnman on this website. He carves a set of stocks from antler (moose, elk, maybe others) and fits them to one of his firearms. I have only seen his stocks on revolvers but he my do selfloaders also. When they are finished to his satisfaction, he posts them in the "Accessories/Misc for sale or Trade" section

http://smith-wessonforum.com/accessories-misc-sale-trade/

First member who wants them posts "I will take them" or similar and sends a pm for more information. I have seen them last a couple of days or be gone in a couple of minutes. There is no ordering or commissioning of future stocks (I have tried), he makes them at his pace and it remains enjoyable for him. A great business model for him.

I have many of his sets.
