The Tulsa gun show is coming on April 6th and 7th. I look forward to it every year. Also on the 8th of April the big solar eclipse is happening mid afternoon.
Anyone going home on an East route may have a new adventure. We will be going North, so should pretty much miss it.

I have all my plans made and expenses covered.

Stuwart is buying lunch.

I'm sure you can get a couple old Smiths with that pile 'o cash.

What time will you be living on?

We're on central time and the total eclipse is supposed to cross Oklahoma around 1:40 pm. My son will be going home to Huntsville, Alabama, so he should hit the total on the way. I have read some reports that said much traffic and touristy things along the way.

Had me going for a minute.
You mentioned April 6 and I thought, "Oh, C***", thought it was in June.
Was triggered to thinkin' about the Symposium, just received a packet last night.
Hope ya'all can see my confusion.

As for the Tulsa show, I have been to the spring show for several years until the plandemic. This last year, now that I am retired, my wife and I wanted to hit the winter show. I was told by several people that there isn't a difference, pretty much the same shows.

I realize some things have changed but we were somewhat disappointed in the winter show. Lots of open tables, more non gun stuff than usual, some of the regulars no longer there and not nearly the traffic of the past. That is one man's opinion but when we hit it, we get there at opening time on Saturday and leave around 5 so we get the most out of our time there. There were more food places than in the past but we rarely eat there.

I was born and raised in Tulsa and since I was old enough to buy a squirt gun I started going to the show. I looked forward to it more than Christmas and my birthday put together. Remember buying a M-39 9mm when I was about 19, then a .22 Colt Diamondback 6", Remington 1100 12 gauge, Kel Tec .32, Kel Tec .380, Smith M15, M19...the list goes on and on. Probably bought 30-40 guns there over the years and a bunch of ammo and accessories, but that's when they had great prices. I haven't bought anything there in over 20 years.
