I just checked the USCCA reciprocity map and when you select Florida it clearly show PR in RED as an area where a Florida CCW permit is NOT honored. Don't do it!

Good chance I'll be heading to Chicago soon. I'm as apprehensive of the legal system up there almost as much as the criminals.

You are exactly right, but I was trying to not point fingers and get political.
I was born and raised in deep southern Illinois and grew up hunting and fishing there. A boy with a .22 or a shotgun going down the street attracted no attention from anyone as it was just normal. Now he'd be seized as a criminal and his parents would be prosecuted. The Chicago machine has worked for decades to destroy the rest of the state. What a shame that is.

I've seen kids walk into town and lean their shotguns/22's against the wall of the store (out by the bench) when they went in for a snack.
Been there done that. We used to actually take them into the drug store and stand 'em in the corner while we got a soda or a shake. I'm sure half the folks would drop dead from a heart attack if that happened today.
