The whole first season was just released, 8 episodes, and is available right now. The show is Fallout. Based on a video game that is set in an alternate history where Nuclear War was fought in the '50s and now it's 200+ years later and survivors are separated between the surface dwellers and those whose ancestors could afford a place in the Vaults, high tech sustainable underground habitats.
The show is character driven, with a good cast, including Walton Goggins of Justified fame. Special effects are pretty damn good, as you'd expect from Amazon, and if you like oldies, the soundtrack is awesome. Hits from the 40s and 50s. I liked it and I think it's worth a look. It's definitely not a sequel or remake, which is all Hollywood seems to make these days. The good thing is you don't have to have played the game to understand it. I've never played the game and I got it just fine. If you've got some time, check it out.

Been sick for the last week so I binged watched it. I like the custom roadster cars that the doors slide up into the fenders to open. Lots of great vintage cars/trucks abandoned throughout the landscape. Sure takes Lucy a LONG time outside her "vault" to wise up to reality on the surface.Once she loses a finger and gets ingested it starts to click: not in Kansas any more. Sound track was great..with lots of 50s music. Okey-dokey!

I caught the first two episodes last night. It made me think of Mad Max: Beyond Thunderdome. Mostly because of some of the sets and costumes. It seems like it's having a hard time deciding if it's western themed, Camelot themed or transformer themed. But it's decent mindless entertainment that managed to hold my attention for a while, which is a little hard to do these days. I do find that when I get interested in a Prime series they seem to run for a while and just stop without any real conclusion. I'm sure they do that so that they can always go back to it if there is enough demand but it sort of leaves you hanging.

I've been working a lot but really excited to watch it.

I've played the games. Loved them.

Walt Goggins in the series is a "Ghoul". Someone turned from radiation basically.

At this point, he's probably one of my favorite actors. Everything he does just seems effortlessly cool.

If he looks like he's about to sneeze, DUCK!

Watched the first two episodes and should have kept my reservations to not watch video game adaptations. I didn't like them and don't care where the cartoonish story goes from there.

Should have just continued my rewatch of Deadwood.
