A Request to All Posters

I agree, as long as we can still call the .40 S&W an ill-conceived, obsolete, useless, wimp of a round.

Okay, I’m kidding, it’s a joke, just having a little fun here… ;).

You’d think .45 ACP was an obsolete wimp of a round, looking at gun and ammo availability. It just bounces off of bears, so it’s useless. :D

Some people like blondes, some like redheads, some like brunettes. They all get the job done.

Yes and I quite enjoy conversations about the pros and cons of each. :D

Debate is a great way to learn and form an opinion. Just because I believe a decent load in 45 colt is the best Practical large handgun round, does not mean that the 357, 41 and 44 mags are junk. Everyone is entitled to their opinion and as long as they state it with a bit of courtesy it adds interest to a thread.

Be awfully boring if when a gun was posted, everyone just said great gun great caliber, perfect frame size and barrel length

The skin depth of various other forum members may vary. Not much anyone can do to change that

I have to agree with the OP.
While it is a public forum and people can post their thoughts there is no need for people whizzing in somebodies cheerios.
Start a new thread if you NEED to get your rant off your chest.

I enjoy the friendly banter on various subjects here. In contrast, I joined a Facebook cooking group, BORING! All they do is post pictures of the plate of food they fixed for a meal and every one comments "Looks delicious!" If somebody comments "I can't eat Bambi" they likely get banned.

Seems to be a trend.
Folks think it ok for them to express their opinion but do not want to be burdened with your opinion.

Yes; regrettably the way things are often done these days. There is certainly nothing wrong with well thought out opinions (not the "ignorant and proud of it" kind).

The Internet is a good thing in many ways, but it also serves as a protective barrier for those who have a propensity for bullying and/or intimidation at a safe distance. In that regard, we have taken a step back with our technology rather than progressed.
