Any old Geezers here that don't take any medications?

Just turned 62 . The only thing that I take is cholesterol medication. Other than that I take vitamin D3 and Zinc once daily.

A bunch of supplements and vitamins.
81mg aspirin
Lisinopril-HCTZ
Rosuvastatin
Prescription Omega 3
Metformin
Celecoxib
Prescription Vitamin D3

I could probably jog 300 yrds. But then I'd be lame for a week. My knees are shot.

I've had cancer surgery and radiation. I'm happy to be on this side of the dirt.

I got an Xray on my left foot today to find out why my badly stubbed toe wasn't coming along quicker. I knew it was broken but I've had broken toes before that were no big deal, as far as healing. It turned out it wasn't just broke it was shattered. I guess it'll take longer to heal. The xray tech was telling me I seemed to be in really good shape for 71. The wonders of modern medecine.

63 Years Old - I take BP (Amlodipine) & Atorvastatin take a baby aspirin once a day. Walk on the treadmill and lift weights. I am hoping to get off the BP med. I take it daily and run 130 - 135 over 80 - 85 without meds - with meds 120's over 70's. Docs says they want me under 130 and low 80's even though the national health doesn't consider mine high w/o meds doc says it's best.

Sorry to hear you feel lethargic - I would keep after your doc. Glad no meds but chronic fatigue would concern me. I play golf 3x per week handle all my yard work etc. I know I am slowing down but a body in motion stays in motion.

The lifting weights has really helped me over the last 6 months. I use low weights to ensure no injury and do high reps. Builds strength and stamina. I was feeling lethargic so I started resistance training in feb. We lose a lot of muscle mass as we age.

I'm about to turn 62 and the only prescriptions I take are 5mg Taldalafil that I have been taking ever since I had prostate cancer surgery, and 5 mg Finseteride that I choose to take to keep my hair growing and healthy.

If push ever came to shove - in terms of my health - I could do away with both of them and still be just fine.

HOWEVER, I also take a number of non-prescription all-natural supplements. Vitamin C, vitamin B complex, calcium/magnesium, a multivitamin, and a Costco tumeric/black pepper capsule twice a day.

AFAIAC the supplements I take probably do more for my general health than the prescriptions. JMO...

I'm 79 and I take no medications. Healthy eating, protein supplements and vitamins. I do need a couple of medications, Flomax and one more but I do not have a doctor right now. My last one decided to self destruct and left the state in a hurry so I need to try to find another one. Trying to find a decent doctor these days is a real challenge.

71 here - no medications, supplements or vitamins. Cholesterol was borderline last checkup -- hopefully it'll be lower next time.

I play pickleball 3 or 4 times a week, usually with guys about half my age. It's been ridiculously hot the past few weeks, so I'm trying not to play more than a couple of hours. I can still compete with the younger crowd, but I just don't have the stamina I did even a few years ago.

Hit 67 later this month. Take a few vitamins and metamucil. One standard aspirin at bedtime. Black coffee PRN. Feeling the effects of old injuries in my knees, but they say that can only be fixed with surgery. Don't feel bad enough to go under the knife.

I will be 70 in March. I take one blood pressure pill every day. If I lose ten pounds I would not need that. Today, I was replacing wood siding on the house. Set up my horses near the front of the house, but in the shade. Carried the siding to my horses from the shop, 12 trips, 700 feet each way. Drove the miter box to the work site. 1/4 hour for lunch but several "Honey can you…" breaks. Wrapped up at 8pm. About 10 hours not counting lunch or interruptions. Can I do that everyday? Not sure. I really do not want to go back into construction to find out either. But, it is nice to know that I can still do it.

64 - no meds. Cholesterol is great, BP okayish. I have lost 22 lbs. so far this year, but I'm still too fat. I do walk a lot most days on my job, so I imagine that helps. My phone says my average daily steps for the past 7 days is 17,286. Definitely more than most folks.

I turn 70 next month, I don't take any prescription meds, just Motrin when the aches don't go away on their own. I exercise by digging holes and sticking bushes in them, lopping off tree limbs with chain saws, slinging mulch by the cubic yard with a wide pitchfork and assorted bending and lifting doing paver patios and sidewalks.
Did I mention I take Motrin? I eat pretty much what I want and I usually don't want stuff that's really good for me. I'm 5'10" and weigh 185. I drink alcohol two or three times a week, mostly beer but never more than one in a day.

And I'm retired.

I turned 68 In May. I take an allergy pill and an Alieve for my knees as needed. I try to stay active. I still work and I try to take our dog for a 1/3 mile walk daily. My knees are nearly shot , so no running for me. My wife takes enough meds for the both of us.

If you ain't 75 you ain't a GEEZER. If I hadda known I was gonna live this long I woulda taken better care of m'self......tween my work and all the fambly history and stuff...I wouldn't have to take any meds. . Hurt my back ripping a guy out of a burning truck that kinda blew up...Two airplanes with too many holes...family that was rife with diabetes and cancer oh and farming and working the Chesapeake as a waterman fishing and tonging oysters... along with dinking smoking and chasing wimmen. I'd be in great shape. As it is I take 10 pills a night with the vitayums my wife makes me take and all...and insulin from a pump. My wife scares the hell out of me....saying she wants to keep me around...for ever and ever.... in a spooky kinda way..Course her family has had lots of long livers
