Hi everyone

The standard j frame grip is slim (i like it) but doesn't allow my pinky finger to make contact (don't like it) is too short.

The Hogue grip allow my pinky to grip but is bulky.

Do you know if exsist a grip long like the hogue one but thinner like the original one?

Thanks

Smallest grips that fit my pocket, all fingers dont fit. 2 fingers are fine for me based on its intended use.
Yes, there are plenty of full size grips available- better for the nightstand top draw.
--- Stand by... your about to get plenty of great advice about brands and types.

Are the Hogue grips you mention the ones known as mono-grips with the plastic cap at the bottom?
There are some nice 3-finger groove wood grips for J-frames on eBay.

Welcome! The factory J frame RB Target stocks (called banana style for the obvious reason) are longer and not much wider than Magna stocks.

First is a Model 30-1 with Hogues. Second is a Ladysmith with I think Packmayrs. Both work well for me.

I've got a set of the pachs and I feel like they weight as much as the gun does. Nice for shooting, but I don't use them on any of my pocket guns.

Banana grips are an excellent suggestion - though a little hard to find and a bit in the expensive side when you do find them.

The ones that JAREDSHS posted above are the wooden ones I was suggesting, and the Pachmayr Compacs that AJ posted in his second photo are also a good alternative - though they are a bit on the heavy side because they have a steel insert inside the rubber.

I will second the Uncle Mikes combats. If you can find a set at a reasonable price. The Altamont Combat is similarly shaped, but the back strap is exposed.

Ditto that. They haven't been made in years but can still be found. You'll get a better deal if you can find a set at at gunshow in a box of mixed grips. When bought online they seem to command a premium.
Sorry I don't have any J frame Hogues to compare thin-ness and I'm not near my stash to measure the Uncle Mikes.

Forgot -- S&W makes their own version of these. I don't think they're on the website but If you call they can assist.

Todd

Pachmayr makes a grip called the Guardian that is a boot grip size but has button operated pinky extension when you’re ready to shoot.

The Uncle Mikes are approximately 1" at their thickest point. It is a genuine shame that these are not currently in production. With how highly they are thought of, it is surprising that no one has worked a deal with Mr. Spegel to start producing them again.

Actually your pinky will not be on the grip. See picture and go to the link to YouTube for a tip. https://www.youtube.com/watch?app=desktop&v=B0YXFfoZSVU

J frame grips

Here are a couple of choices, on J frame guns, for those of us with big hands.

S&W J frame banana grips. A little harder to find as they are not made any more!

My wifes s&w 360J 357mag has Hogue Mono Grip on it and the width at the widest section of the palm swell is only 1.14 wide and covers the back strap .

Not sure why some think is wide as it is not a wide grip . holster .
