I've been looking for a short barrel Ruger for some time and finally found one at the Cabela's Gun Library in Glendale Arizona. It's in excellent condition and doesn't appear to have been shot much. I wiped it down and ran a brush down the barrel and charge holes. Well I tried to disassemble the revolver for a more through cleaning but was unable to remove the trigger assembly, it's stuck. It probably hasn't been removed since 1982, the year it was made. Maybe a good soak or just leave it alone. Any advice would be appreciated. Mods, feel free to move to the Smithing section if needed.
Here's the story how I acquired this fine revolver.
While looking on the other Forum several Saturdays ago, someone posted about a S&W M14 he had just purchased from the Cabela's/Bass Pro in Glendale Arizona. He stated there was a very nice short barrel Security Six at a good price in the Library. I gave them a call and inquired about it and purchased sight unseen. I got lucky. It was shipped to my Cabela's for free and you know the rest of the story.
