I've wanted a snub 1917 for the longest time. I finally acquired a 1937 Brazilian a few months back that was perfect as a base. The gun had already been refinished once, so it wasn't a collector gun. Off it went to 10-Ring Precision in San Antonio a few weeks ago. I just got it back today.

I couldn't be more pleased. I wanted the barrel cut outside of the ejector rod housing to retain the mushroom ejector rod. The new sight was left somewhat proud so I can file it to whatever load I settle on. They then refinished it with the black polymer coating.

What am I going to use it for? Who knows. Probably just range time. But I always wanted one.

Years ago I cut my first Model 1917 to 4". This is the latest one.

It was my edc for quite a while, until replaced by the Model 22-4.
