Roughly 50 years ago I fired my first handgun, a Chiefs Special. This experience ignited a lifelong love of the snub revolver. Here’s a sampling:

This post is gonna cost me. I was satisfied with a Mod 36, 642PC, 638, .38/22 Terrier, and H&R 925 .38S&W.

Now...a whole new world -- Ruger, Colt, Kimber....and something(s) in .357. Good thing there a bit of room in the safe.

Nice post folks, and nice guns. Thanks.

Left from top: 60-7, 642-1
Right from top: Lawman MK III, Cobra
Center from top: Wasp, 38 (no dash)

The 60-7 is a recent acquisition and may be an anniversary present to Mrs. Buford.

The 642 is my EDC. I amazed the range officer by qualifying with what I carry last CCL renewal. It was the only revolver out of 30 shooters.

The 38 is my backup to the 642.

The Lawman was my engagement present and my carry gun in Investigations and BUG in uniform.

The Cobra belonged to my F-I-L and later was backup to the Lawman.

The Wasp was the snubbie of my misspent childhood when I thought I was Broderick Crawford.

I think a couple of boxes of .38s and some red ring caps need to visit the range with this bunch soon.

Your new 64 reminds me of something I’ve been wanting to do. I have a DAO 4” model 64. Definitely not a safe Queen, and not particularly valuable. I’d like to find a 2” barrel for it. At the moment I have no K frame snubbies

One more little guy, NAA 22LR.

I realized I’m addicted to snubbies. I tried to add another one, 34-1 2”, last weekend but couldn’t get together with the seller on price. That’s life.

How does a .41Magnum compare to an exacting sized .44Magnum in regards to shooting/recoil I often wonder.

It's a little less brutal. :p

The 41MAG weights about 3oz heavier than the 44MAG Night Guard because of the smaller charge holes in the cylinder & bore of the barrel.

Oh my God!! This is one of the best threads ever! I know, that sounded like a high school girl, haha. But I love snubby revolvers, and these pictures are great. Please keep them coming!
