I have 2 ramps for my shed like the ones below with grip tape on them. Their 42" long. I took the hinge off to use them for my mower.

I'm wanting to get 2 sets that are 60" long so it won't be so steep riding the mower up them. They have a raised lip on the sides, I'll have to cut that off one ramp of each set. I want 4 to make it wider.

One set in the link has the grip tape, and the other set has groves cut into the aluminum for traction. Which do y'all think would be best for riding a mower up them?

Ruthie's sister, Sharon, uses a motorized wheelchair that is heavy. One of her cousin's keeps a set just like the second one you posted that the family shares for when Sharon comes visiting.

They work well.

Dude, you're making a mountain out of a molehill

If you're fixin' to spend bucks quit putzing around and do it right.
Pallet jack ramp. Frame it, gravel it, put some bricks under the stand.
Easy, peasey permanently breezy

Sorry! Something went wrong!

Since it was free, I made mine out of 3/4" marine plywood. I tried using non-slip tape but it only lasted a year before peeling off.

I would choose the one that holds 800lbs not the 600lbs. Just my opinion, I tend to subscribe to the overengineering school of construction. I think you are over the weight limit on the 600lb ramps.

Won't cutting that lip off significantly WEAKEN that panel?
Thick about how a piece of angle iron is so much stronger than a flat bar...
