Strapped the 629-2E with better looking stocks.
This is one heavy Smith.
If I have read the books right, it seems only around 3000
of these were made in 1989.

Good job XFUZZ. Mine wears a pair of Grasshorn’s I bought from a forum member. I’ve been waiting since February for my bronze TGrip to arrive

After a few years of wearing a holstered revolver you do not notice it.

I think Mas Ayoob wrote about what they learned from interviewing Convicts at the State Prison. We think Convicts are dummies but Street Smarts says if a Cop has rubber grips on his revolver, its probably a Magnum and he is a shooter and knows how to use it. Fancy wood grips the Cop is a just a dandy.

I ordered it from Tyler in February. They promptly cashed my check and I’m still waiting 8 months later for delivery.

Thank you. I was not aware they were still casting the bronze colored adapters.

They are a part time business. Once they have enough orders for a pour, the run the pour and fill the orders. You might be waiting a while.

I’d say I have been waiting awhile!!!!! 8 months is crazy. I know I know it’s how they do business. I knew what I was getting into. My last one was 4 months. 8 is crazy. It will definitely be my last.

Xfuzz, thank you for sharing. Looks nice!

Being a sales and marketing exec, these -2E variants have always held special interest.

While 3,000 was the run, I'd be surprised if even half that number made it out the door. For years, there were questions on if these were ever marked '-2E' or simply '-2'. One of these days I should contact the historical society and see if they have any further information, but I BELIEVE (being key word) that even half the run may be an optimistic number.

Regardless, Unfluted, 3" N-frames in .44 Mag are a wonderful thing...

OJ's shoes haven't seen the light of day since the trial.
OJ wouldn't have been able to afford these hand made alligator shoes after his fall from grace either. lol
