The gentleman also has a Model 34 Kit Gun with grips he is willing to let go for $600. I don’t shoot 22lr but if you guys think I should I get it I can off it to someone who will appreciate it..

The 34 is well worth the $600, no doubt.

I'd bet if you bought it & shot it, you'd be keeping it. It's just a super great tool for marksmanship training. Lots of fun too!

Rig up a support for a horizontal stick. Tie one end of some strings to the stick & cut the strings into 4-5 strips, varying each in length.

Scotch tape a raw egg on the bottom end. Back off about 15-20 feet & shoot the raw egg with the 34. I promise you, it'll be the most fun you've had in years!

Glad you snapped up that 6" Highway Patrolman, you got a great deal for $700 even without the original diamond magna stocks! My 4" 5-screw is a first year (and birth year!) HP, s/n S114481 which dates it to July or August 1954. Yours (S125100) could be a little later in 1954, but more likely a 1955 revolver. I acquired mine a couple of years ago for $1150 with the original box and goodies. For some reason the 6" HPs are not quite as desirable as the 4", but IMO your HP is worth in the neighborhood of $1200+. Nice pickup! BTW- you might as well get that Model 34 for the price he's quoting you.

The SN will be stamped on the inside of the right panel, minus the S prefix.

OK, I guess I should show S111760. It shipped to Evaluator Limited, Inc. and they probably threw the box away. The owner of Evaluators Ltd., Mrs. Van Orden came up with the name Highway Patrolman. It was originally going to be called The Patrolman. They took pretty good care of it during their testing.

Those are the correct type of grips on your gun and probably the originals. Take them off and see if they are stamped with the serial number!

I am the proud owner of 4", Highway Patrolman, # S 127112, shipped 3-1956. It is drippy mint and with all charges, I paid $1,200 for it. It also has the box. Big Larry

Sure. The German Army cleaned their artillery with it and it works great on my muzzleloaders.

If so could you please tell me the serial number on the grips so I can try and track down a set? Are they the same serial number as the gun itself?
