Big storm hit starting Thursday night, lost power last night around 9:30, snow stopped sometime overnight, 2ft of wet heavy stuff. Power company says hopefully by 10p it’ll be back on.

Sitting in a coffee shop now popular with the younger folks. Everyone in here is also without power. I feel hip already, I’ll bet I’m the only one looking at gun forums. :D

Do you have the urge to run outside and build a snowman?

Me? No. But I do love getting bundled up and going for a walk in a snowstorm. I love how it quiets everything down and makes everything more beautiful. Ice, on the other hand, can go away and not come back. Ice storms suck.

I’ll bet you’re the only one with a big iron on your hip.

Watch your language... "Snow" is a four letter word!

Thanks for reminding me. I need to change the oil in my snowblower and get it prepped. I hope I won't need it this season...

Last winter was mild, but we set a State record in 2014...

Hate snow. Too old to shovel it but do use my leaf blower to blow it away if it is a light snow. Saw a snow blade on line that would fit my lawn tractor but when I checked the price it was higher than a new tractor would cost me:eek:

It's been a crazy couple of weeks around here...

Temps above normal. Trees refusing to let go of their leaves. A two day wet snow storm. Normal warming temps for the next week or so.

Don't care how healthy you are. Thinking you can handle it with ease is a big mistake. My driveway has a significant slope to it. There were a few times in my younger years I was left looking up at the sky. Too many sore body parts to list not to mention my ego.

My snowblower is out whether the snow is wet or powder and 6" or over a foot. It doesn't know the difference. I also do both my neighbors sidewalks and driveways when it's a bad storm.

I enjoy the snow but don't appreciate Mother Nature's sense of humor. I didn't expect that I'll have to rake leaves again in the Spring.

One of the Reno ski runs opened up this friday, for business.

Lots of the higher mountains in the area have "White" on them.
I did not realize that it has been that cold and that we had that much rain
in the last few weeks.

23* has been our low, so far with 60's as our high's.......

and yes, the tomatoes are a done deal.

No snow yet here in cornfields and cows country. We are still seeing temperatures in the 60's. Long term weather predictions are for above average precipitation and normal temperatures so time will tell.

I have my John Deere equipment and Generac at the ready.
