Ole Joe Clark
Absent Comrade
Good Morning,
It's a beautiful Sunday morning in the Heart of Dixie, 65 degrees and sunny. A good day to assemble together and worship Him.
I was reading some of the posts from our friends in the West and Midwest, about the coming snow storm. Thank the Lord, we are where we are. I don't think I could handle snow measured in inches, much less feet. The most snow I can remember came about this time of the year, back in 1993. We had 13" and it was bad, I remember it thundering heavily during the snow. We were without power for only a few hours, but lots of folks lost it for 2 weeks.
We have a different set of weather conditions to contend with, thunderstorms and possible tornadoes, starting tomorrow. The weather has been beautiful for about the last 2 weeks, but you gotta pay the piper sometime.
My lovely MBH made her appointment with the eye Doctor on Wednesday. She got a shot in the eyeball, but she sat there like a trooper and took it. She has severe Wet ARMD OD, not sure what that is, just haven't looked it up on the net. If you pray and when you do, please call her name out, (Judy).
We went rambling on Friday for a little while, bought lunch and went to a park and ate. The sun and breeze was great. I found an old Buck knife at the pawn shop and gave $5 for it. It's called a Juno, never seen one or even read about it before.
Got the yard looking better, still have the trimming to do. The weed trimmer beats me to a pulp so I haven't done it yet. I haven't planted my tomato seeds, I need to. Lots of flowers blooming, birds singing and building nests.
Ya'll have a blessed Sabbath and be safe in the storms.
Leon
P.S.
Sometimes it seems that the storms of life are worse than the snow, rain and windstorms, but we will make it, one way or another.
