Hello Gents,

Half the fun of buying a gun is getting to immediately show it off--please indulge me here.

I’ve been haunting Gunjoker and a few other sites the last year as I covertly siphon-off money from my kids’ college fund to pay for things that really matter in life—guns! I put the kids to bed last night and saw this newly posted at 9:30 pm. I swallowed hard at the price tag ($2300) and then feverishly pulled out the Amex.

It’s a Performance Center SD 356 TSW.

I bought a 3566 from a member here last year and have wanted to buy this gun as a compliment. The 3566 has an additional barrel in 9mm and Scott just told me he has a 9mm barrel for this.

It came with two mags (short and longer) and the blue case. Sevens posted in another thread that the blue one is his favorite PC case, although personally, I think that the aluminum drug-money-mule / elegant assassin case is the coolest.

Based on the 3rd Gen Model Numbers excel sheet that I found in this forum, it looks like there were 119 produced. Does this look correct? I attached a highlighted snip from the sheet.

Cool gun, you don't see them very often.

What s/n is yours? Mine is fairly early in the series -SDD0028.

Will try to get some pics up in a bit.....

This one is SDD0067, so it looks like we're not that far apart.

@jt1207 , congratulations on a nice find, I belive you are correct on the production number.

@Smithnut , mine is just 2 digits after yours, SDD0030, along with it's 40 counterpart SDC0030. Now I need to try for a long shot and find the 0030 serialized SD 9 P to complete the set!

Always at least “one” more it seems.

I thought I was fine with my 9, 40 and 45 Shorty’s and Recons. It took awhile but I enjoyed the hunt. Of course someone here mentioned that I didn’t have one SD. Ughh

Trey--it's taken me quite a while to find a couple of the PC pistols I 've wanted, and after reading through many forum threads here I've found out why. It's because you've been buying-up all of them! Will you please leave a few for the rest of us! lol

If there is one PC gun I really want , it's one of these . I have the other two , I was actually shooting the shorter one yesterday . Thankfully the past owner sent it back to the old PC shop and they fitted a 9mm barrel and a Briley bushing . I have a stash of .3566 ammo , but I want to keep that for special occasions .

I have only the SD-9 and mine was a Gunbroker find a stack of years ago… no original box and no end label. It’s a cool, rare pistol and it’s really sharp looking I think.

It’s the only DA/SA in all of my S&W PC guns.

I agree. I love the look and the balance of 4”- 4.5” barreled guns just feel fantastic in my hands. It’s my sweet spot for USPSA guns.

Great catch having that fitted 9mm barrel. Makes it imminently shootable!

Jealous of the 356 TSW stash! Thanksgiving is next week, so you have a "special occasion" excuse to shoot it. You're welcome! Then there's Hannukah, Christmas, New Year's, President's Day, MLK Day, Valentine's . . .

S537 has these barrels available, I have 9mm barrels for both my 3566 compact and the SD356, and a 357SIG barrel for the SD40. Great guy to deal with.

Thanks, Trey. I did get directed to him last year and I bought a bunch of 356TSW brass. The idea was/is to start reloading it so I can shoot more affordably.

I just bought a barrel from him for this gun earlier this week.
