Ukraine Gets $54.2 Billion - From the EU

It's all about the money. Just follow it if you can. They do a great job of laundering it.

Very intriguing post...can you please elaborate on this? Since you have declared affirmatively that "they do a great job of laundering it" I assume you know how it's being laundered and who "they" are? Can you help us understand what you apparently know to be true?

So far as I know, a lot of the money we're sending to Ukraine is being spent here in the USA to buy American munitions. We apparently are sending a lot of non-military aid as well. In previous posts here, I've linked to a number of sites that list exactly what we are buying for Ukraine.

Check out Sam Bankman-Fried, Ukrainian connections and political donations. That's all I'm going to say.

Well, as of yesterday, it looks like a good chance
exists the U.S. will default on its commitment to
support Ukraine. This comes right at a time when
a Russian offensive seems to be gaining.

Let's be real, Ukraine is NOT going to win. Russia is going to keep the territory it has under its control. Russia is going to grind down anything Ukraine sends.

Besides tens of thousands of casualties, how much territory did Ukraine reclaim during it's much awaited/hyped spring/summer/fall offensive last year?

I had read that the average age of the Ukrainian soldier is 40+ years old. If that's true, it has no more young men left to sacrifice! What happens when there's no more Ukrainians? Where are they going to get more men to replace the barely trained men they currently send to their deaths? They're already sending barely trained women to fight. No amount of money/arms is going to do any good if there's nobody to use it. England and Sweden are openly talking about conscription.

With all the folks/farmers protesting against their governments in Europe, Germany, France, etc, you think those people are going to willingly go to war for Ukraine?

Are you pro-ukraine/war folks willing to send our military, YOUR kids, grandkids to fight and die for another country while ours is literally being invaded by millions of people? Is it worth it to risk a full-scale military conflict with Russia over Ukraine to include nukes, never mind the current state of our conventional military or the fools running it?

BTW, What does the average American citizen get out of war in Ukraine? I'd argue, nothing!

Its easy to cheer war on when one isn't actually fighting and safely behind the warm glow of a computer screen typing away, isn't it.

To add: In the end, the US government will abandon Ukraine, just like it abandoned everybody else when it's politically untenable.

Can I borrow your crystal ball?

How about we draft all the physically fit illegal aliens, run them thru basic training, and send them to Ukraine? The survivors will have earned their US citizenship.
[tongue firmly in cheek...]

Things are going great for Russia. That's why they buy North Koreans. House of Cards? Core Challenges of Russia's Mixed Military Manpower System – Russian Military and Security Research group

"One thing is for certain – as the population and general willingness to serve are on decline, it will take considerable time for the Russian army to recover its full strength from the impacts of this war. The damage to Russia's military manpower system, to the credibility of the army's professional military capabilities, and to its deterrent effect appears to be long-lasting."

I fixed it for you.

We all know how this war is going to end. Russia will keep the territory it has gained and Ukraine will be a smaller country and abandoned by the West. Period.

One of my friend's youngest son went there, about 6 mo. into the war. He stayed for 7 mo. He was working with refugees and wounded. They trained him on the AK and RPG just in case. He said they had to be careful with comms. Ivan was looking for targets. Even back then the feeling was that Ukraine would run out of Ukrainians before Russia ran out of Russians. What a mess.

We're told to believe that sanctions were supposed to make it crash a couple of years ago. But, this time it will crash, for sure. For reals.

Who runs out of men and material first, Ukraine or Russia.

Anybody want to make a bet?

And now Russia's central bank reserves have been burned through, they can't access the global banking system, and they're reduced to swapping oil for North Korean bodies. Suddenly, there will be a deal maker in the White House who can smell weakness; regardless of common belief, what value exists for a new executive who can't run again to pull a weakening competitor out of their problems?

Men and material matter; will matters more. The real question is how much more are Russian people, not Putin, willing to lose (and for how long) to pick up Rhode Island-sized territory.

Meanwhile, the Georgian people are rejecting Putin's plan (to make them Russian vassals by now-exposed vote-buying and election manipulating schemes) in the streets of every city in the country.
