One might think as a criminal, that with constitutional carry and relaxed laws coupled with more people buying weapons and getting training that the odds of not being shot are not so much in your favor anymore.

I had a great uncle that was always worried about being robbed. It was constant in the neighborhood. He switched to sleeping in a chair with a Colt SAA 45 in his lap, and he knew how to use it

Can't imagine why he would be. The law in Florida says that if someone unlawfully enters your house, you have the right to assume they mean to kill you or do you great bodily harm. As such, lethal force is justified against them.

Used to be. When I arrived here, exactly 45 years ago Jan 7, I used to leave the "hook" on the front screen door, windows open, back door to the screen room open. Free air conditioning 6 months out of the year. Different Florida today. Joe

As it should be. If I locked my door I couldn't get back in, misplaced the key long ago. I have two words that I cannot repeat here for ANYONE that even ATTEMPTS to tell me that it's my fault if a mutant mut robs me because I didn't lock the door.
