I should have specified NYC. Everyone I've met from upstate NY wants nothing to do with that city.
Count me in that group as well. I’ve lived in NY my whole life (56 yrs next month) and I’ve only been to NYC once. I had no choice. I was standing up in a wedding 2004. I was however glad to visit Ground Zero.
I’ve heard nothing about any conspiracy to rig the Superbowl. Probably because I pay no attention to it. I couldn’t possibly care less. Tell me again - who’s playing??

The best part of the Superbowl is the commercials.

I am not a sportsball fan... never have been... but sometimes the commercials are funny.. sometimes the halftime is enjoyable and I always like the snacks and beverages... don't care who plays or wins... won't affect my life in any way one way or another...

...old 'TV wrestling', the referees are instructed not to see certain things to increase the interest level of the spectators. These days I would be more surprised if a sport ISN'T rigged. Boxing and martial arts sure are. I'm not saying the fighters don't do their best or take dives, but the judges come up with the decision that will help their enterprise the most. Often it's robbing a fighter so that he/they will make bigger money in a planned, emotionally charged 'revenge match', which is usually anti-climactic.
I've done sports and loved every minute but as a spectator at this point I'm almost completely devoid of giving a ****. These days when we do trivia, I let my other teammates handle the 'sprots' questions. (spelling intentional)
Now they've finally admitted that colleges and universities exist for the football teams, and academia is a secondary concern.
I have to say, though, that my career as a spectator is pretty bad. I usually root for the underdog and get the expected result. I did like Carolina basketball when Frank McGuire was coaching, tennis matches, and pro football back in the early 70's was GREAT! I got behind Clemson when they were on top, then they got caught cheating and ended that. I got behind the Braves in their world series efforts, then they fired Otis 'My Man' Nixon (who always dellivered) and Chief Noc-a-homa so I quit with them.

One of the great truths I learned in life was that those who rail the loudest against organized sports sucked at them.
Awhile back did a couple refs get busted in basketball for bad calls and such. Hell yes football refs can be bought!! Lets see the last 5 minutes if KC needs a field goal, watch the flags fly.

1. Football is entertaining
2. I am OK with people making more money than I do.
3. Don't really care about the criminal history of people that I dont interact with

I am one of those guys who could not possibly care less about who wins the game, but I am going to watch the entire Superbowl show, including the pre-game, this Sunday since the President of the U. S. will be attending! I can't wait to see the crowd react when they show him on the big screen!!!!

I don't care anymore. The NFL is so different than the game I watched as a kid and as a younger man. It's approaching WWE.
