It went pretty well. My handloads have a 250 grain Bang and Clang LLC powder coated semi wadcutter over 231 powder. They were loaded in a Starline case with Winchester LP primer. The first six at 15 yards are shown. Note that my gun has an extra cylinder in 45 Colt. According to Roy it did not come from S&W that way but I bought the gun new from a dealer so evidently the dealer fitted it after the factory.

I have been in the habit of bringing my new Garmin chronograph to the range and today was no exception. The second picture shows the effect of 50 rounds on a zombie at 15 yards.

Well the cylinder is from a Model 25 - 3 or a Model 25 - 4. Either one of those will be pretty tough to come by these days. Maybe a clever gunsmith could convert a Model 28 cylinder to fit?

I think mine is my favorite to shoot.
Just enough kick and power, recoil, and seems to be more accurate in my newbie hands than any other non 22 that I shoot.
Big N frame and fine looker.

I used to think that. I had this revolver for 29 years - then in 2010 I decided to install the 45 Colt cylinder for the first time. No more clips. None. I can use a speed loader if I want - I don't.

I think you need to aim slightly higher. You kill zombies by destroying the brain, just giving it a nose job might not do the trick. :D :D :D

You would want to use a non-recessed M28-3 cylinder. A M29-3 cylinder could be used also but would need to be shortened in front as well.

I have several 25-5's and shoot 45 colt in those but my 25-2 just seems to hit the mark a little better. I'd like to get a 45 colt cylinder fitted if it's possible.

If I remember correctly, the 25-2 (45 ACP) cylinder is shorter than a 45 Colt cylinder. In order to use both you would be limited to what bullets you could load in the 45 Colt cylinder. Question, wouldn't it be better to start with a 25-5 so you could load anything you wanted in 45 Colt, and adapt a longer cylinder for the 45 ACP?

I have several 25-5s already. The 25-2 cylinder is shorter but it's a 6.5 barrel. The 25-3 is also a 6.5 barrel in 45 colt… so I guess I'll be adding that to my model 25 group at some point.
I'm on a mission! Right condition, right price, right time.
