Atlas Erebus price increase $500 a year

$8K for a euro wondernine? You should be asking yourself if you really belong on this forum.

LOL ridiculous

…and exactly why is that? That’s what these kind of guns sell for, $5-$10K. It’s commonplace in the high end gun and competition 2011 market. There is a waiting list for them.

It’s not a “wondernine” either. It’s a top quality competition 2011. It’s also American, not Euro. Good Lord…at least have a clue before insinuating the poor guy shouldn’t be on the forum.

People also don’t want to wait a year or more to get one

???
There's a few dozen new ones for sale on GB.

Depends on what you’re looking for. If you order one from Atlas with the options you want, you’ll be waiting. Nighthawk is up to a two year wait. Most high end builders have extended wait times.

By the way, I don’t see any Atlas Erebus on GB. There’s some $6000 Atlas Ares, which is a less expensive model. Then add the tax, shipping, and GB fees.

I didn't see where you specifically mentioned an Erebus. Of course if you order any custom gun it's going to take awhile to build. If it didn't, it wouldn't be a custom. ;)

$7900 is the starting price of the Atlas Erebus. Changing the finish, etc, will put you between 8 and 9.

Erebus v2 Perfect Zero™ Pistol | Atlas GW

The atlas chaos would be my ultimate dream gun but with that comes a lot of drawbacks as magazine spring and recoil has to be constantly tweaked, a super 38 is tough on the gun and I am not prepared to have to send it to a gun smith every few miles ..lol

bc1023, all of this is WAY out of my league, but I do enjoy learning about such, and seeing pictures of these pistols. I know that this may be a stupid and impossible question to answer, along the lines of “which is your favorite child”, but do you have say 5 favorites, and why are they your favorites?

Hi Larry, thanks for your interest. I won’t hijack the thread any further. Furthermore, it’s really hard to say what my favorites would be, anyway. However, I can say this with certainty…none of the potential five were posted in this thread.

Frankly, I'm impressed with your fine collection bc1023. :)

Bragging rights are only if you can produce the results that the guns are intended for.........Rounds on target. Owning a fancy piece means nothing if you can not produce targets shot by the owner.

Means nothing to who, exactly?

To set the record straight, the best shooting pistols in the world do not improve skill. However, they DO make the most of the skills a shooter has. What this means is they don’t require as much skill to shoot well.

You keep believing that.

That’s their Open gun. I believe they stopped building Open pistols for now.

I don’t have to believe it. I know it. Been in the high end pistol business for decades and I’ve seen it countless times. Once again, it’s complete denial on your part.

The funny thing is, I was actually agreeing with some of you naysayers. However, if you think the average shooter won’t shoot something like this better than a plain jane Colt 1911, then I just don’t know what to say. Maybe get back to me when you have had some experience with said pistols.

Until then “you keep believing that.”

That old “it’s just as good” mentality has kept me thoroughly entertained for many years. I don’t see that changing anytime soon. ;)
