If you tell me who you are I can look it up. I don't have anything waiting for a Model 15 USAF. Has the check been cashed?

Sorry for the late reply; this was 9-10 years ago. Not a criticism of the current process obviously, just stating how good recent requestors have it.

I sent a letter in to the SWHF in August. Have not received anything yet but I got a bunch of emails from Michael Helms at first so I bet it will be soon.
SWHF is like other organizations which provide a service with limited staff in that demand for product varies at times, and delivery can also vary...Sometimes the information needed for fulfillment is readily available in the files, and at other times it must be requested from S&W corporate HQ, at which time Don is at the mercy of the company's schedule...My current three waiting requests were sent and paid for on November 10...The letters will be happily received by me when they get here...

I'm very patient but very eager to get mine back, submitted 9/11/2024. I did email Mr. Helms at the end of October and he said he was looking for the sight configuration and to give him a few more days. I haven't heard anything since... definitely not complaining but if anyone wants to check I sure would appreciate it!!

I know at times some data is not immediately on hand at SWHF causing a wait from S&W corporate HQ...In those instances the wait can be extended....My latest three requests reached Don's desk on 12/20/2024 and the last letter was just delivered to me a few minutes ago...

Just got an email from them and letter is on the way! Christmas again! Can't wait to see
Also would like to thank Mike and Don for all the hard work, I'm sure some are easy but I'm guessing some are a real pain, probably like the one I just sent in... but WELL worth the price paid !

Just sent in and paid for my letter on a possible prototype 4006. Now the wait. Hopefully good news and a possible deep dive awaits.

I'm wondering too......when my letter will arrive. I sent my application and money in Oct 2024 and haven't heard a thing since. That's over 5 month ago. How long do these letters normally take?
I wonder if Don keeps a copy of each letter by serial number so when it’s sold or traded and a new letter request is sent in he can search to see if a gun has been previously lettered and just print off a new copy with the new owners name and address on it without the need to do research since it was previously lettered? You can bet some guns have been lettered multiple times.

Just got my letter delivered today. Thanks to all concerned, especially to Don for sorting the delay out.
Great bit of history. My NM3 Target (.32/44) was shipped to Chicago on July 15th 1887. No one will ever know how it ended up in the UK , but it did. It is my prized possession and in great condition considering it's age. I'm well chuffed.
