I've worn a blister on my thumb trying to swipe the lever to SAFE. Does it ever break in to be easier to use over time?
I'm trying to do it with the side of my thumb as if I were swiping it off SAFE. If I break my grip, yes, I can do it with the tip of my strong side thumb. With my 1911's, I can do both with the side of my thumb without breaking my grip.Do not understand...does not compute...Mine was made 1/27/25 and presents no problems taking the safety off or putting it on..it does take a good shove to engage it but it is fairly easy.

While I'd prefer an easily engaging paddle, it's not a deal breaker for me as that's not a task I think I would perform under stress or pressure. Disengaging the safety was not an issue for me. /QUOTE]
You solved my problem. I agree, after a string of fire, there's no hurry to push the lever up to SAFE, I can do it with my support thumb; upon drawing the gun, it's also easy to sweep down to FIRE with a hard, palpable "click". So, I'm leaving the safety as it is.
Vedder makes four custom holsters for the CSX. I have the IWB ProTuck, with two spaced beltloops for security.
But if you mount an optic, the slide is so short on the CSX that the optic will hit your belt top before the gun seats in the holster. I replaced the OEM metal loops with the photo-attached loops from DCC, their "super shorty" loops. In the bottom vertical hole, they will give you about .25" clearance of the optic above the belt .
How well does the sig optic witness with the front sight? On my p365xl its the only optic that was low enough to actually co witness with the front. Hoping it works with the csx as well.![]()
The 1791 Gunleather Optic Ready BHC Maxholster for a SIG P365XL is not a perfect fit but sufficient for use until something better comes along.
MTR custom offers a nice holster if you want to wait 25 weeks.
Cheers
James
