Again? Toilet paper shortages?

Back in the early days of our marriage, my wife and I ran out of toilet paper once. She made a solemn vow that that would never happen again. We have maintained an adequate reserve supply ever since. Even after her passing, I still do.
I got through the panic of 2020 with no problems and will survive just fine if it happens again. ;)

More than likely, this is just some more of the left's "the sky is falling" propaganda. I wouldn't pay it much mind.

It's interesting how this forum can go from velocity to scatology with the same excitement. :D

A little Quote from Benjamin Disraeli, comes to mind!:D

The phrase "Little things affect little minds" is a quote attributed to Benjamin Disraeli, and it means that trivial matters can have a disproportionate impact on people with limited perspectives or emotional maturity.

There was a time....long long ago...long since forgotten....in a galaxy close at hand...mankind had no such thing as toilet paper...the world at large was his toilet....yet somehow mankind survived to become the spoiled, whiney, complaining the sky is falling diatribe spouting mass it is today.
They may be a sky-is-falling diatribe spouting mass, but they smell better than the previous group and have a lot less anal irritation.

Well actually, we should do away with ALL paper products..Look at all the trees we destroy to make paper...those trees produce oxygen...I breath oxygen...you can have your better smelling backside and less irritation...I want oxygen and an sustainable atmosphere ..... but that's just me......

Trump’s tariffs on Canadian lumber could result in toilet paper shortages in the U.S.

Remember summer of 2020 during the Covid Stupid? Panic buying. Store aisles empty. No toilet paper. No paper towels. Hoarding. Price gouging. Armed security guards in stores enforcing limits on purchases.

Could be happening again soon. My advice is to save your fabric softener dryer sheets. They leave a pleasant scent and your hiney will be wrinkle-free all day long.

A good thought now that there is no more Sears catalog to rely on:eek::D

What is even more interesting is the rumor/fact I saw recently that the US makes 98% of all of Canadas TP. That information foretold of TP shortages in Canada not the US.

A 27% tariff on toilet paper won't effect the supply; what will effect the supply is people creating self fulfilling rumors that you better stock up because there's going to be a shortage.

"How bad will this winter be?" An indian asked his chief.

" I don't know but it is good to be prepared. Get some firewood ready" replied the chief.

The chief then called his friend in the national weather service to ask him. " How bad will this winter be?"

The meteorologist said "this will be a pretty cold winter"

The chief then told his people what the meteorologist said. A few weeks later the chief called to ask again, just to be sure.

"Well," said the meteorologist, "its gonna be worse than we thought this year."

Again the chief relayed this to his people and told them to put out more firewood.

Right before the winter came, the chief called the meteorologist once more to ask, "how bad will this winter be?"

The meteorologist said "it's gonna be worse than we thought"

The chief thanked the meteorologist and asked him "how do you get such accurate information?"

"Well, we have teams of scientists that study patterns to predict what the weather will be like. But we found that the most reliable method is to just look at how much firewood the native Americans put out"
