A Very Good Dog Crossed The Rainbow Bridge Today.

I feel your pain and your loss. Wife and I have had to undergo the same agony many times. The good part is that when your time comes, you and your beloved pooch will be reunited with each other. I believe good dogs go to Heaven, where the grass is green, the weather good, and there are lots of rabbits and squirrels to chase. They are there waiting for us to rejoin them.

Truly sorry for your loss, but grateful for the home/love she had.

Sorry about you losing your beloved rescue . Every time one of us posts about losing a dog I just cringe . I know somebody will post the Rainbow Bridge or the cartoon and I'll look into my girls , and now a boy also , eyes and I know I will be there someday . And then the tears start , but I get down and hug all of them and all is good in my world . So Max , get out there and rescue another and fill that hole in your heart . Damn it , the tears are coming again .

I have been through that experience too often. My current elderly buddy is getting close as he is having difficulty in getting around.

You have my sympathy. My wife and I went through this three weeks ago.

Our dogs give us years of joy and weeks of anguish. In return we try to be good companions and caregivers to them.

So sorry to hear of your loss.
Dogs give a very special unconditional love which enables us to return it.
Have had Golden’s for over four decades, a wonderful breed.

Very sorry to hear of your loss. I have rescued 4 times so far since we retired and I can spend time with them. Lost 2 female labs, my black to bone cancer, and my yellow girl to severe colitis. Waited 15 months till I decided to get a third one. Rescued her 3 weeks ago, is a 2 year old female yellow lab, and she has fit in with us and my wife's little 9 yr. old Maltese like a glove. Recued dogs always know how lucky they are and are thankful for a second chance . This is our latest girl, Ariel

Our beloved Tiffany left us this morning. She had been diagnosed with lymphoma 7 months ago. She went through a chemo treatment with the hope the cancer would go into remission. It did, but only for a very short time.

She was in pretty good shape until today. We had already decided we would not allow her to suffer.

Here is the thread from 10 years ago when we got her: https://smith-wessonforum.com/lounge/407569-new-baby-our-house.html?highlight=tiffany
Sincere condolences to you and your family. Members of the family are so hard to lose.

Max, I know that pain too well!
I am sorry for your loss.
You will be in my prayers.

As someone with a doctorate in theology I believe that most if not all dogs do go to heaven.
(The same cannot be said about people.)
