Welcome to the Forum! Your Model 10-6 with the 4" heavy barrel was a very popular revolver with LEOs. Except for a little muzzle wear (common with holstered revolvers) it appears to be in excellent condition, and should be a fun revolver to shoot. Enjoy!

So could I shoot 38 +p ?

It has been estimated that some six million guns in this general size and configuration were made by S&W giving it the distinction of the most-produced handgun of all time.

I’m not sure if it still holds that title with the proliferation of the Glock pistol but it surely did for years.

Tons of these guns were and continue to be shot with plus p not that it is of any use with very limited exception
Running some plus p you intend to carry to ensure function and point of impact makes sense, then shooting standard pressure for routing range practice is what is advised. Plus p won’t hurt anything, and any difference in wear on the gun that would result in an issue down the road will be a very long road. Your wallet will notice frequent use of plus p more than the gun.
