just another one for your viewing pleasure. He carries a CANNON in this one. And I'm sure he did! In Somalia!
Ayooob would be proud of McBragg! Also makes Ayoob look humble.
I await his next story with an excited tension.
And I'm a little suspicious of folks who know it all and have been there and done that with everything.I'm little suspicious of folks who spend the much time with cartoons.![]()
So how do you really feel? I'd suggest the ignore feature. And I'm a little suspicious of folks who know it all and have been there and done that with everything.
You may or may not notice we have a board full of Vietnam ( and other Wars) Combat Veterans who's exploits and horrors were/are VERY real- yet they don't speak of them...
You've run your mouth for years. I don't really think anyone is impressed.
Please tell us all about the time you took Hamburger Hill with a J frame and saved countless American Lives in the process...
or maybe that time that "if only" you were in Somalia, Blackhawk Down never would have happened.
I honestly WOULD like to thank you though for ONE thing. The free rent you've given me.
In your head.
And its funny how you knew exactly who that original video was meant for... But oh wait-
That's because you're so smart!
Bad guy. What sort of person is a Tango?
If how I really feel is not apparent, you’re not as smart as you think you are.So how do really feel? I'd suggest the ignore feature.
Those are the same two guns my old outfit, the Air Force Office of Special Investigations now carry. Must be good choices. I carry the Glock 19 and 43 in the pocket most of the time.Bianchi's Law modified.
Glock 19 or a Glock 26 on my hip or in my right pocket. Unless circumstances Beyond My Control dictator otherwise
Never heard the term gun slut, but gun porn is a pretty common term when showing gun pictures.
Along with the clever turn of the phrase he makes the backhanded point that switching between firearm types requires thorough familiarity with each type. I went through a period of pistol promiscuity about 40 years ago before ending up where I started.
Well said. My EDC is the same the one that goes in the pocket. I carry a second and bigger gun that usually stays in the truck or truck safe, those get rotated, like you say based on when I travel to different threat levels.54 years ago I bought a Colt D/S. Two years later I find myself in the police academy with the issued model 10. A lot of the training was aimed at reloading under stressful conditions. Partial reloads as well. Understanding this I gave my father the Colt and bought a S&W J frame as BUG and off duty. Never looked back.
I believe that there's a vast difference in carry guns and range toys. Just like there's a vast difference in working drug infested inner city streets with regular exchanges of gunfire between rival gangs and being a part time auxiliary officer in East Cowpoop, New Hampshire.
The stress induced it pistol competition with timers and paper targets is one thing.
The stress induced in working rotating hours, politicians who don't care and a chief who's a ticket punching whiteshirt flying a desk ever upward from job to job with only loyalty to his advancement. So you're faced with not only the danger of ghetto police work but the knowledge that it's only you and your partner. Headquarters and city hall are playing woke politics and don't have your back.
Now put all that into a target that's shooting at you. This is the stuff that the guy on the street lives with. This is the garbage floating around 24/7. This in a nutshell is why sticking with one gun, one holster was invented. I'm one of those who adopted that thought process.
You want to rotate guns, holsters and ammunition every day? Cool. Not me.
Damn bro, how big are your pockets?I carry the Glock 19 and 43 in the pocket most of the time.
I was a protective service officer for military and civilian officials, foreign and domestic. Most of my 7 years as a have gun will travel guy, I carried a commander size 1911 in 45 acp of course, both in the US and elsewhere. Never ever felt unarmed or under-armed with a 45, still don't.So; when riding with Protective Service Details transporting us from point A to point B outside the wire in Mogadishu, our PSD lead always, every trip, explained what weapons he and the driver had and where extra mags (with radios and a med kit) in bags were inside the B6 armored SUV. It goes without saying that each of us regulars learned basic Tokarev and AK operation. Glad I never needed it, although one B6 was hit by an IED in early '22; they had to find and hold cover until friendlies arrived.
I am a big guy. 43 in the pocket, 19 in the IWB or console. On the other hand, I can carry a 4 inch model 29, in a hip pocket no holster at all. The down side is with a big gun in your pocket that makes it hard to run.Damn bro, how big are your pockets?
I'm little suspicious of folks who spend the much time with cartoons.![]()
I do not always agree with him, and I have more law enforcement and 24 years military in jobs that carried every day, but he does make a point. And it goes like this:Dumbest thing I've read in a while . . .
Birds of a feather. I bought an original officer's model the year they came out, 1982 I think. It has been nothing but wonderful and my primary carry for years, replaced with the Glocks which I carried in Law Enforcement in later years, but still love the gun.For the past 25 years or so, my primary carry gun has been my Colt Officers ACP. From time to time, I will switch to my Smith Model 60, but soon go back to the .45. Either one, I shoot very well, and both are carried IWB, strong side hip. I have lots of other handguns, but these are the ones I rely on for SD.
