I just love it in those pharma commercials where they say "don't take Biktarvy if you're allergic to Biktarvy!"

Another advertisement that gets muted, or better yet, I switch channels. It's disgusting to see two "men" holding hands.

For me, the only thing worse is the Christina and Jacuzzi bathroom remodels commercials. Her voice to me is worse than fingernails on a chalkboard.

I think they're inventing illnesses to fit whatever drug they've invented. Most of the drugs they've advertised recently are for things I never heard of before.

When I was a young lad no one was given a pill to stop a kid from being a normal rambunctious kid.

Agreed. Those pharma-pimp commercials are utterly ridiculous.
The contrast between the visual and the quick cautionary blurb is like a SNL skit. Back when SNL was actually funny.
I laugh when the speed-talker voiceover lists all the wonderful 'side effects' one may experience, like death.

I never followed the Big Pharma ads, sounded like a sales pitch for a new whatever issue that I didn't really need.
My opinion was reinforced by the campaign they mounted against the science showing that most ulcers were caused by bacteria, not stress. Big Pharma stood to lose $millions ($billions) in lost revenue for Tagamet, thus the anti-bacteria stance.
Seems like the same labs that worked for the drug manufacturers also worked for the smoking industry.

I watch very little TV. But even if I did I can totally zone out any and all commercials. I don't think I have ever purchased or even considered something I may have seen in a commercial

Agree 200%, me too! It's nauseating! I just used that as an example of the whole "don't take X if you're allergic to X" absurdity in so many of those drug commercials. Biktarvy came to mind because it was one of the more stupid sounding drug names.
