"Big Pharma" ads- I just can't take it anymore....

Only thing worse than big pharma commercials are the incessant injury attorney commercials. If you been in a wreck and need a check… 🎶 Pathetic
Really bad in Vegas.
For me, the only thing worse is the Christina and Jacuzzi bathroom remodels commercials. Her voice to me is worse than fingernails on a chalkboard.

Didn't Bobby Jr. say something about banning commercial ads for prescription meds? I'd love to see a vote for a bill to that effect, if for no other reason than to get a good idea which of our lawmakers are in their pockets.

I have often wondered if the Big Pharma companies have departments devoted to creating unpronounceable names for their products, all of which must contain the letters Q, X, V, and Z.

It may happen. The current administration has BF extremely worried. The billions in profits are slowing down. More real Covid news and information needs to get out there.

Agreed. Those pharma-pimp commercials are utterly ridiculous.
The contrast between the visual and the quick cautionary blurb is like a SNL skit. Back when SNL was actually funny.
I laugh when the speed-talker voiceover lists all the wonderful 'side effects' one may experience, like death.

I never followed the Big Pharma ads, sounded like a sales pitch for a new whatever issue that I didn't really need.
My opinion was reinforced by the campaign they mounted against the science showing that most ulcers were caused by bacteria, not stress. Big Pharma stood to lose $millions ($billions) in lost revenue for Tagamet, thus the anti-bacteria stance.
Seems like the same labs that worked for the drug manufacturers also worked for the smoking industry.

I find the Biktary commercials repulsive in many ways not related to drug allergies.
Agree 200%, me too! It's nauseating! I just used that as an example of the whole "don't take X if you're allergic to X" absurdity in so many of those drug commercials. Biktarvy came to mind because it was one of the more stupid sounding drug names.

Ah yes, 5 mg Valium; the most prescribed drug for at least 10 years. They made it at the Hoffman-LaRoche plant in my hometown. My buddy's mom filled the 1,000 tablet stock bottles for 25+ years. needed detox when she retired. Joe

I am sorry that I am missing the commercials. I haven't watched commercial tv in a long time. They advertise the drugs on TV because they want you to pester your doctor to prescribe it for you. It works. Where but that industry can you produce a product th
