Tom Cruise as Longmire!?!?

YUP. Then after working 25 years in a prison, things I find roll on the ground funny make most normal people think "that's sick".
I find a lot of unusual things pretty funny too but never in a mean or condescending way such as that song is.

Video sounds like fake AI don't know if legit , I was at the movies last week and wasn't any previews about it
There are a lot of fake AI trailers out there for "new 2025" movies that were released wayyyy..... back when.

It's got to the point where I just don't beleive anything I see on social medial these days, unless I can google it and read actual stories that confirm it.

Short or tall, however you want to make fun of Tom Cruise, the fact is that at age 63 he is still going strong as an action star showing considerable energy and agility.

Not bad for a senior citizen.

Tom Cruise as Longmire? Okay, I can live with that.
As long as he doesn't senselessly cycle his 1911 after each shot like Aussie Craig Johnson did I'll be okay.

I watch actors for their acting. I could not care less about their religious beliefs nor their opinions. The less I hear about both, the better. But the media and forums just keep throwing it in everyone's faces. Give it a rest. Just watch the show.

Nearly everyone who hear Randy Newman's song "Short People" took it the wrong way. He meant it a satirical look at discrimination and prejudice of all types. The song was meant to poke fun at how stupid many people's reasons were for how they felt against others. Hence his inclusion of the verses:

Short people are just the same as you and I
A fool such as I
All men are brothers until the day they die
It's a wonderful world

I don't think Tom Cruise has been in a western leaning role as of yet. Should be interesting to see if what he brings to the character.

Thought he learned his lesson as Reacher, guess not. Supposed to be out later this year. A lot of the other originals are supposed to be in it.
Learned what lesson, he nailed that part. The big muscled clown in the series is a waste of dialogue & makes me laugh. If Cruise is in it he will own it & it will be extremely well made. It will also make a massive amount of money & not attempt to talk down or virtue single me. Tom wants to entertain his audiences and IMO does a great job.

Tom Cruise as Longmire? Uh, uh. He did ok as Reacher, but I had read the Reacher books and had certain expectations which Alan Ritchson comes closer to fulfilling. I have read the Longmire books too, and thought he was pretty well portrayed in the serAs an aside, the Longmire books are set in a part of the world I am fairly familiar with.
C. J.Box's Joe Pickett books are set in the same area. So how is it possible that Walt Longmire and Joe Pickett have never crossed paths, at least as far as we know?

Tom Cruise knows how to make a movie people want to watch and gets into the role. That being said I have a hard time seeing him as Longmire. I will probably watch it anyway. I like to be entertained. I can suspend disbelief for 100 minutes.

Cruise has been well-trained in firearms including live-fire exercises. For instance see "Collateral" and also look at the training extras which he duplicated in the film.

As far as being Longmire, Cruise probably won't try to emulate the TV actor nor even bother with some aspects of the books. He'll be a Longmire of his own creation and that's often what actors do. Books often are merely suggestions and outlines for movies.
