Date of mfg of 640 no dash.

picked up in trade a 640 38, serial number BSF8772, looked all over the place before I posted this, but find nothing online for reference to decode this serial number to get DOM. Anyone with this info that can help, or is it finally time for me to ante up to buying the guide? Thanks!

The model was produced from 89-96. Examples of BSA and BSC prefixes reported shipped in 1994, BSJ BSM BSR BSS and BSZ reported shipped in 1995. Sorry no exact match but 94-95 should be in the ballpark. No guaranteed shipping date unless you call the factory and ask them, or if you have the original box the "Spec Order" code will be the Julian shipping date.
