OK, So whats the deal with these sellers that have older parts that act like they have the last one on the face of the earth? prices are off the charts...you think they doing some deep sea fishing. Im sure when they needed something there was no "cut me a break bro" involved....so oppurtunity knocks and bend buyers over....got it!

I'm not sure where you are looking for these old parts.
As a suggestion, try here on the Forum and also consider joining the S&WCA. There is a plethora of knowledge and parts right here in front of your nose.
For the past 20 years I have found numerous items at a reasonable price. I have had people give me item's also. Members here have always been quite generous and we all help each other out.
I'd be curious to know what you are looking for that has the astonishing prices.

Be it guns, cars, or motorcycles, breaking stuff down for resale is seen as instant profit. I wanted a stock set to restore a sportered milsurp rifle. Hah! It was far cheaper to buy another complete rifle or one with the bolt missing.

What parts are you looking for, and for what gun?

It took me 7 years to find a 41 Long Colt barrel for an Army Special. The I found two
in a matter of three weeks, both on GunBroker. Stay in the hunt and maybe get Lucky.

I paid $40 plus shipping for a used but good cartridge carrier for a '70s 336 and was happy to get it.

Guess which was the worn out part:

I feel your pain brother.

But the sellers aren't the problem. It's the buyers with a lot of money and no common sense that keep prices high.

Supply and demand will always prevail.
