I had my choice of two within a short distance of each other, but picked the one with a better layout and also a lower entry price. Based on past experience at both, this one would have a better chance of maybe having a 3rd Gen or two. It had two and I'll get to that in a minute.
There's a woman who has been at this show the past couple of times I went. She sells various magazines, all used. This time out she had 39xx 8 round magazines for $35.00/each. She had two or three, in decent shape. She had a few 69xx magazines at $25.00/each. I was tempted to buy the 39xx magazines just to flip, but decided I wasn't that motivated. I know that she has some 59xx magazines on Gunbroker, but under what name I don't know. No business name or cards at the booth, just her with her used magazines.
A 457 with 1 magazine for $549.00. I picked it up to look at and noticed a significant amount of freckling on the left side of the frame. Nothing on the right. My guess is that was from someone wearing the gun without protecting the body side of the slide from sweat. That alone makes the gun not worth near what the seller was asking. I'd consider it a project gun as the slide is likely to need refinishing of some kind. Who knows what a field stripping would reveal about the frame rails and barrel lugs on the frame?
Another table had a decent shape 908 for $799.99. Looking at the other guns on the table it appears that the seller is very proud of his used gun selection.
I'm seeing fewer and fewer 3rd Gen guns and accessories at every show.
