Thanks, I've sent it back to S&W twice and they said the replaced yoke and other parts but it still has an ejection issue with Winchester, Remington and Aquila so I'm just shooting Federals. I'm done sending back to S&W. I'll try the standard CCI's. A couple of the guys has the same problem and one of them had the cylinder reamed out which fixed the problem.I use CCI standard velocity with no problems in my 617-10, probably most slower than sound ammo is OK. Faster rounds typically give some trouble to eject. In some cases even the back of the case expands and cylinder gets hard to rotate.

Anybody have problems ejecting spent cartridges in the Model 617? I've put 500 rounds of Federals through it with no problem. Tried Winchesters and Remingtons and could not eject the spent cartridges after shooting 10 rounds.
The cylinders get filthy. Have you tried polishing the holes with lead removal cloth, or some Brownell's non-embedding paste? MY 617 isn't as accurate with standard velocity ammunition as it is with high velocity ammunitionSome 22RF cartridges are "dirtier" than others. If you find a brand that works good with your revolver stick with it. I have a 617-6, and it had "sticky extraction", I did the reaming of the chambers with a Manson Finishing Reamers, and have no problems with any brand now.
I don't recall what online board, maybe this one or Cast boolits but there is roaming chamber reamer that guys sign up for to open them up and uniform their chambers.
