Which 357 revolver is next?

During the research process, please consider that the second-hand market in Belgium is of course much more limited than yours...

Since most of us don't live in Belgium, and what you might come across Only you will know what blows your skirt up when you see it.

As guys have said, a nice stubby (J Frame) is great for Carry. As a range gun? Not so much. Larger, heavier will be easier to shoot well.

Thank you everyone for the feedback and advices. After some thought, I'll just stick with my 686, first learn how to shoot it and enjoy it before jumping for another one. In a few months/years from now, I'll be able to refine my judgment and see which one I need/want. I'm just at the beginning of my gun journey, no need to rush!
Btw, I finally had the time to finetune the sights, here's a pic of 10 shots with .38 special at 25 meters/27,3 yards (five 10, three 9, one 8, one flyer, not that bad)! First five shots two-handed, five next shots with one hand.

Just this year I've purchased a 6" & 4" Ruger Security Sixes and a Speed Six with a 2 3/4" barrel. Also, a Ruger SP101, all are chambered in .357 Magnum, which from your original post is the caliber you have the permit to buy. The weight of the Ruger helps a heck of a lot with the recoil, and .38 Special is like a puppy dog to practice with. Depending on how much you want to spend, a good used S&W in .357, I don't think you can go wrong either. I'm really liking these plane Jane Rugers though for shooting. For looks, that's a different story!

Fair point: carrying is prohibited here so a snubbie would indeed be of limited use for its intended purpose, unless keeping it on night table...

Just had a quick look at the 627 references, thanks for the info, but they are above my planned budget. Prices are crazy here...I guess the only guns that might be cheaper here are the old ones made in Belgium, like FN GP,...

Anyway, the second hand market is not that big so best bet is maybe to visit gun shops from time to time and see what they have for sale.

Can you (us) buy them cheap and then get them out of Finland and back to the US, or do we have to apply for citizenship and live there with the EU ****laws?
